Checking In

Ok officially inside seven months to IM Coeur D’Alene. Got my 10 mile hill run in today. One the 1st of the year roll around I’ll start really looking at my training time and race schedule. Today’s run 10 miles of hill HR 145 max was under 9:00 pace. No question my fitness is coming back around.

Looking at some trip reports from last summer I’m thinking triathlon is just a means of keeping fit for adventure. IM races may count as adventure but maybe just a little to in control to be counted as adventure. Triathlon has a spark that is pretty cool but will never have the total personal meaning as wilderness adventure.

No snow yet in the mountains, starting to get a little late. Skier friends are bummed. Me on the other hand looking forward to next summer.
